Abingdon Quilt Exhibition raises £2,000

A huge thank you to all the quilters who made and exhibited some beautiful quilts at the Abingdon Quilt Exhibition before Easter.

The quilts on show featured an amazing array of colours, variety and complexity. A lot of people came to the exhibition and raised £2,000 for TAB.

Judy Harris, one of the quilters and organisers put TAB in touch with Project Linus who have very kindly donated six quilts for us to give to suitable clients.

Project Linus is a volunteer organisation that provides a sense of security and comfort to sick and traumatised babies, children and teenagers through the provision of home made patchwork quilts and knitted blankets. The quilts are made by teams of volunteers across the UK and are free of charge.

If you know of someone who would benefit from a quilt please email Ani Catt, the Project Linus regional co-ordinator for Oxfordshire on anicatt@yahoo.co.uk.
