St Michael & All Angels’ Church are very committed supporters of The Abingdon Bridge and are hosting a charity piano recital at 3pm on Sunday 21st August 2022.
Local professional concert pianist, Mami Shikimori, will play old favourites such as Beethoven’s “Appassionata” sonata, Tchaikovsky’s “Chanson Triste”, and Gershwin’s “I Got Rhythm”.
Her playing has been described as "Exquisite" by the Sunday Times, and a "Sheer Delight" and "Dazzling" by the BBC Music Magazine.
Proceeds will be split between The Abingdon Bridge, St Michael & All Angels’ Church funds, and Tariro.
Tickets are priced at £12 for adults and free for children. Tickets can be purchased from The Bookstore, Bury Street, Abingdon, or they are also available at the door on the day; with both cash and contactless payment accepted.
Refreshments, wine, and nibbles will be available. Please spread the word to family and friends, as this promises to be an excellent event.
