Job Title: Junior Youth Worker
Location: Abingdon
Salary: £12- £14 an hour
Contract Type: Part time
Hours: 5 – 10 hours a week

The Role:
Promote wellbeing through creative activities, discussions, and support, addressing issues such as mental health, relationships, and personal development.
Engage with the local community to foster a sense of belonging and encourage youth participation in community events and initiatives.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, and community partners to create a positive, inclusive, and impactful environment.
Maintain accurate records and reports on youth engagement and programme effectiveness.
Co-deliver youth drop ins and outreach work.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Have empathy and actively listen to young people.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and delivery of youth programmes, workshops, and activities that align with our mission.
Provide support and mentoring to young people, encouraging them to pursue their aspirations and make positive life choices.
Develop meaningful relationships with young people to build trust
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
